Constellation Stocks Story
My name is Iskan.
My background is in finance - I spent 12 years in corporate finance and strategy, climbing to senior roles. But the lifestyle was draining and restrictive. At some point, I knew I had to pivot.
I wanted to build an independent, performance-driven life around the financial markets - what I’ve always been passionate about.
Over the years, I tried everything the market offered: stocks, bonds, futures, ETFs, structured notes, and, finally, options.
Here’s what I learned: success in the markets comes from aligning your personality with the right trading style.
That’s why I never clicked with intraday trading. Staring at charts and reacting to technical signals didn’t let me use my real edge. I needed something where I could leverage what I know best - analyzing financial reports, business models, industries, and economics.
Stock options became that instrument. I linked my professional background in finance with practical options trading. For the first time, I found a true fit between my personality, my skillset, and a financial instrument I could trade professionally.
Since then, I’ve been refining a system that matches my style. This newsletter is about showing that path in public and maybe helping others discover new ways of trading and investing.
My Approach
At the core, I do what value investors do: fundamental analysis of businesses. I study earnings, financial reports, macro drivers, and management guidance.
But I add my own blend of sauces:
I seek higher returns by structuring trades with stock options.
I work on shorter horizons (up to 3 months), often tied to earnings dates or clear revaluation catalysts.
I use a long/short approach, so gains on one side help balance risks if other options expire worthless.
I lean more heavily on macroeconomic data than traditional value investors, since it often becomes direct catalysts for both stock and option prices.
This mix lets me generate asymmetric returns while keeping risk defined.
What You Need to Know About Options
Options let you make non-linear returns on stock price movements and volatility.
But here’s the trap: if you only hold one-sided trades (say, a bunch of long calls on different stocks) and the market turns against you, all those premiums paid can expire worthless.
The solution is balance. By combining longs and shorts, and by carefully selecting stocks and option structures, you can build a portfolio where winners outweigh losers and the system works over time.
